Riding to a tenth place at the German championships in her first year as an elite rider, Christa Riffel joined a professional cycling team as a trainee, just one day after she turned 19. Still only 22 years old, she joined Team Hitec Products with already 3,5 years of experience in the professional peloton. She for sure learned that cycling isn’t only pedalling fast. “The mind plays such an important role!”
The Ladies Tour of Norway and Team Hitec Products start a collaboration to strengthen each other towards the future. Riders of the only Scandinavian UCI women’s team will be ambassadors for the World Tour race and on the new team car promotion for the race will be visible. Earlier Jensen & Scheele Bil were announced as a new partner for that car. They are also partners of the race. In 2021 the Ladies Tour of Norway is scheduled from the 12th of August until the 15th of August.
Team Hitec Products – Birk Sport are happy to announce the arrival of seven new partners for the 2021 cycling season. From them, Pump Supply will have the biggest role and have a prominent place on the team kit, together with Hitec Products. The other new partners are Jensen & Scheele Bil, Monkey Pumps, Hydraulic International, Morgan Blue, Valnor and Qing Yang Cave. Earlier Liv/Giant stepped in as the new bike sponsor for 2021. The official team name will be Team Hitec Products.
This year Ann Helen Olsen (22) became the Norwegian U23 champion, taking a fifth place in the elite race, just one place behind Team Hitec Products rider Vita Heine. With that, she again showed good form. Next season Anne Helen also hopes to do that in the Team Hitec Products jersey. Time to get to know her, as unlike other young girls there are not many results to find from her. “For many years I played football and did track and field.”
With Caroline Andersson, Team Hitec Products for the first time since 2014 has a Swedish rider in it’s team. In the past Emma Johansson and Emilia Fahlin were the two most successful riders for the team, who came from the Scandinavian neighbouring country of Norway. Caroline hopes to do the same. “In ten years from now I would like to be known as one of the best female riders for the classics”, she shows her ambition.
Winning both the Norwegian title in the time trial and the road race, next to some national races, 2020 was a good year for Anne Dorthe Ysland. However, it wasn’t what she had hoped her last year as a junior rider would look like, as there were no international races. “I had high ambitions for the world championships”, she says. Next season Anne Dorthe will join Team Hitec Products. In this interview we speak with her about her last year as a junior, joining the team and more.
