Team Coop – Hitec Products have added an extra French rider to their squad for 2023. The 24 year-old makes the transition across from Zaaf Cycling Team with immediate effect.
Jounier has proven herself a classics rider with a strong sprint over the years with a 4th place at GP Oetingen last season and a top 20 place in Paris Roubaix Femmes in 2021, as well as winning the Lotto Belgium Cup that same year.
A fresh start to the season
“I’m so happy to join the team Coop – Hitec, this team has been in the peloton for a long time so I know it’s a team with a really professional framework and staff. After my bad experience this year it’s exactly what I need”, Jounier says. “I’m eager to start my first race with the team this weekend. I’m also very excited to meet my new team mates and get back in the peloton. I am training hard so I hope to quickly come back to the top of the rankings.”
A very strong addition to the team
“I already tried to sign Lucie before, so when this opportunity arose, I didn’t hesitate'” said Team Manager Karl Lima. “With her experience and past results she is a very strong addition to our rider roster”.
Lucie’s first race with the team will be Omloop van Borsele on Saturday in the South of the Netherlands!
