Silje Mathisen will race for Team Hitec Products – Birk Sport in 2020. The 18 years old rider from Norway, who is a member of Halden Cycling Club, already raced with the team this year in the Tour de Belle Isle en Terre. In 2018 Mathisen became Norwegian junior champion in three disciplines: individual time trial, road race and criterium. Emilie Moberg in the past also joined Team Hitec Products as a member of Halden Cycling Club.
After an injury in the beginning of 2019, Mathisen came back with a second place in the time trial of the Norwegian championships. “I am really happy that I get the opportunity to join Team Hitec Products – Birk Sport next year”, says Mathisen. “It seems like the team has a great team spirit, with a lot of talented and hard-working girls and a supportive staff.”
Mathisen is looking forward to the 2020 season. “It will be so exciting to compete together with them. I think I will learn and experience a lot and hopefully I can manage to help the team. I’m so grateful they give me this opportunity. I will work hard this winter and try my very best to do a good job for the team next year.”
