With Dwars door het Hageland on Saturday and Dwars door de Westhoek on Sunday, the team started in two Belgium races this weekend. In both races it was Ingvild Gaskjenn who got a result for the team, ending 25th on the hard gravel race on Saturday and finishing in 19th place a day later. That race ended in a bunch sprint.
“Yesterday was really really hard”, Ingvild looked back on the race weekend after Dwars door de Westhoek. “We had a lot of bad luck in the team, with crashes and punctures.” Dwars door het Hageland was a race with a lot of gravel parts in it and that made the race very hard. “It was extremely hectic all day. But I was happy to finish in the first group, even though I was dead in the end.”
A day later, the team on Sunday went for a new result. Ingvild: “Today was an easier race and a course which we could expect to be a sprint. We had some bad luck today as well, but we were with Caroline and me in the end, so we worked well together. I wanted more in the sprint, but let’s try again next time.”
