Lauren Kitchen Oceania Champion!

Lauren Kitchen, (Team Hitec Products) has taken arguably the biggest win of her career this morning sealing the Oceania Road Race title from a select four up sprint in Goombungee, just outside Toowoomba. Australia. In the final sprint she beat Lizzie Williams and Katrin Garfoot (both Orica GreenEdge) and former Hitec-rider and Rachel Neylan.
“Im really happy with this win, Ive been close a few times to the top step so far this year but for it all to fall into place today for a big title like this, Im really stoked!”
The Gold medal will join Kitchen’s silver medal from the time trial event last Friday to make it a very successful weekend for the 24 year old. This was not just her first UCI-win, but it is also Hitec Products’ first victory of 2015.
With Kitchen wrapping up the title in Toowoomba she has taken the automatic spot for Australia for the World Championships to be held in Richmond, USA in September. With a ticket to the US now booked for the Worlds Lauren can now focus of building her form without the stresses of selection.

Training Camp in Gran Canaria 23.Jan-1.Feb 2015

For the 3d time we made Playa del Ingles in Gran Canaria our loocation for training camp. Here we can find all possible courses, from flat and windy to hilly, always in a comfortable temperature of about 20 degrees. The whole team except Kirsten and Lauren was gathered, for 10 nice days. The traditional hill time trials and flat individual time trial tests showed that the girls are in rout and have made progress.
On the rest day we found time for photo shoot with the new Doltcini race clothes and the Scott leisure clothes.

Lauren Kitchen Wins Sprint Jersey At 2015 Mitchelton Bay Cycling Classic And Finishes Second Overall!
Lauren Kitchen wrapped up a successful week of racing in the fourth and final stage of the Bay Cycling Classic in Williamstown, Victoria yesterday as teammate Kimberley Wells sprinted to second on the stage to claim Roxsolt’s third podium of the week. Kitchen went into the stage with an unbeatable lead in the race’s sprint competition after consistent racing throughout the four race series.  With the green jersey safely in the back pocket of the Roxsolt team they turned their attention to claiming yellow after Lauren’s strong finish on Sunday’s third stage in Portarlington saw her move to within two points of the race lead.
“My form was really unknown coming into this week,” she said.
“I knew I had been training hard but I hadn’t done any intensity so to be able to back up everyday and be at the pointy end of the bike race I’m very happy,” Lauren finished.
