Continuing her great form from the Oceania Championships, Lauren surprised herself and everybody in this event. Instead of just contesting the sprints in the first flat stages, which brought her another podium, she also finished 2nd on the queen mountain stage on the Saturday. The race started with a TTT where Australia finished 18 secs behind USA, which put the Americans in the driving seat for the GC until the finish. Tayler Wiles (USA) won the event.
