Claudia Koster new at Team Hitec Products

Boels Rental Ladies Tour

Team Hitec Products are happy to announce the signing of Claudia Koster. The 28 years old cyclist from the Netherlands brings experience to the team, after racing on international level for years already. Koster is the fifth new rider for 2021. Five riders re-signed their contract. “I am very happy with this new step and I am already looking forward to next season. I am very motivated and can’t wait to join the team.”

Koster last year raced a lot as a lead-out rider for top sprinter Kirsten Wild, who also raced for Team Hitec Products in the past. She however also got some good results herself, like a second place in the first stage of the BeNeLadies Tour of 2019. “I like the spring classics”, she says. “But that’s not strange as I am born next to a cobble stone section, the Munnikenweg in Alkmaar, where we also always have wind. Besides that I like the hilly races and I have quite a good sprint. With ease, I put myself in service of the team, to achieve our goals.”

Being in the peloton for already a long time, Koster did already know Team Hitec Products a bit. “The team is very professional and already active on the highest level for years. That gives me trust. It is a team with a lot of experience, growing potential and a good racing program. I myself want to keep developing myself and grow on several areas, in combination with keeping fun on the bike. I think Team Hitec Products is a great team for that.”

Sharing experience
The 2021 team will be a young team, with Koster and Mieke Kröger (27) as the oldest and most experienced riders. “It will be a new roll for me to support the younger riders, but I am looking forward to it. I like to help others, as I am also an occupational therapist. Besides that, I started cycling myself when I was eight years old, which brought me quite some experience. I hope I can share that with the younger riders. I already speak a bit of Danish, but in the next months I will dive into the books, so I can hopefully also speak a bit of Norwegian.”
