Silver to Lauren in the Australian Championships
Australian national championships are just completed and we ended up with a surprising but pleasing silver medal for our newcomer Lauren Kitchen. Surprising because of the hard course that favored more specialist climbers. In the final sprint of 10 riders including 4 GreenEDGE riders, Gracie Elvin won narrowly over Lauren in the final sprint. Lauren did all 3 races, starting with a 9th place in the ITT, continued with bronze in the criterium (when Chloe Hosking went down in an early crash), and completing a great week with the silver in the road race.
